Pageant Master Of CeremoniesBrandon Bates Professional rodeo announcer, Brandon Bates of Atoka, Oklahoma is one of the newest additions to the Miss Rodeo America Pageant and the class of PRCA Announcers. Brandon, at the age of twenty two years old, is the youngest announcer in pro rodeo. Brandon's experience as an announcer started for him at the age of sixteen when he announced his first amateur rodeo. Brandon admits that he has had a lot of help from other figures in pro rodeo, especially Justin McKee, former Miss Rodeo America Pageant Master of Ceremonies. According to Bates, McKee has been his mentor since the first time they met four years ago. Brandon hit the ground running this past year by announcing PRCA rodeos in every part of the United States except the extreme western portion. When not rodeoing Brandon enjoys hanging out at the family ranch in the hospitality of southern Oklahoma and says that family and relaxation are what keeps him grounded during the long summer run. |
