 Miss Rodeo California 2002

The new 2003 Miss Rodeo California is Darci Robertson of Salinas. She  was crowned Friday evening. Miss Robertson also won the appearance, speech, horsemanship, and personality awards. The 1st runner up was Candice Carper of Norco. The 2nd runner up was Amber Wood of Redding, 3rd runner up was Kayla Spurlock of Poway, 4th runner up was Sarah Anderson of Livermoore, and the 5th runner up was Candace Reinhard, Miss Rodeo San Francisco.

Kelly was on hand
throughout the Pageant this year, hosting each of the contestant events. She started things off by setting the
patterns at the Horsemanship Event on Tuesday, October
8th at the arena in Horse Thief Canyon. Miss Rodeo America, Kara Brown was also on hand.

 

Contestants from throughout California competed all week to be the
ambassador of professional rodeo in California. Judged equally on horsemanship, appearance and personality, each young woman is hoping to capture the title and a chance to represent the Golden State in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant held in conjunction with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Kelly Kragel will go on to compete at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant this December 1st thru the 8th in sunny Las Vegas.
