The contestants arrive decked out in full western dress: Resistol cowboy hats, Wrangler jeans, Justin Boots, leather chaps, and bright colored blouses.  The current Miss Rodeo America and the announcer invite the contestants to pull a Rodeo Related Question out of the bowl.  They get an opportunity to read the question, then the announcer reads the question to the contestant so the audience may hear it.  The luncheon was a spectacular meal served at the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip.
