The contestants finalize their registrations, turn in their scrapbooks, and for the last several years the reigning Miss Rodeo America will pin the state sashes on each contestant.  The contestants and their parents get a chance to mix and mingle prior to this happening.  Racks of clothing and accessories fill the registration area.  The tension and anticipation is thick enough to slice at this point in the competition. Most of the competitors have already met at various rodeos, however some are just now getting their first chance to make introductions and survey their competition for the coveted crown. Old friends hug and exchange warm greetings while others meet the girls that they just may be sharing a room with for the next week!  It's great fun and with all of us media there, these beautiful Rodeo Queens draw quite a crowd from the Casino floor.
