Billy Allen
Ever heard of Billy Allen who
owns Billy Allen Products, a horse feed company in Scott City, Kansas?
Ever heard of Billy Allen who is a past world champion in
reining, team roping and working cow horses? Ever heard of Billy Allen
who has four children – two sons and two daughters – each of whom is
a past youth world champion in roping events? What about Billy Allen
who, in 1976, campaigned three different horses to win high point titles
in reining, calf roping and team roping?
Yes, each of the above mentioned Billy Allen’s are one and the same.
Billy Allen also is an AQHA Judge and has been for 28 years.
Allen started out rodeoing, but in the mid-20’s began training horses
professionally for the public.
Allen was fortunate to train ad show several nice horses and have much
success at a young age, thought he admitted that his early days of
training consisted mostly of trial and error.
About 22 years ago, Allen tired of searching for the perfect, consistent
feed for horses, ventured out and formed his own company, Billy Allen
Products, manufacturer of Billy Allen Feed. The feed mill is located on
his property, alongside the barns and the pastures filled with
broodmares and young horses. Allen runs the place with his wife, Connie
and the help of five employees.
Allen has judged AQHA and AQHA World Championship shows, as well as, the
All American Quarter Horse Congress and every major stock show.
