The schedule of events holds many opportunities for all.  If you have never attended this Pageant the following information about each event may make them easier to get to (maps of the Las Vegas Strip) and understand what is happening.  The public, family and friends, can only attend certain events.
(Tickets can be purchased from the Miss Rodeo America Association)

The HORSEMANSHIP COMPETITION is free to the public and is held at the Excalibur Casino in the Excalibur King Arthur’s Arena, Monday, November 29, 9:00 a.m.  This is a great arena for the competition however, it can get a little chilly so you might want to bring along a light jacket or sweater.  

The GET ACQUAINTED PARTY is held in the Toulouse Room at the Orleans Hotel, Monday, November 29, 8:00 p.m. and admission is $25.00.  The music and dance floor make for a swinging good time.  Check out last years action at the Get Acquainted Party.

The Contestants SPEECHES are held over a three day period and they cost $25.00 to attend all three sessions or $15.00 at the door / session.  The Speeches are held at the  Orleans Hotel Wednesday, December 1, Thursday, December 2, Friday, December 3, 8:00 a.m.  These speeches can be some of the most fact filled stories that you may marvel at the women who wrote them.  Each contestant has 3 minutes in which to deliver a speech about their state or a rodeo topic.    Public speaking is a large part of a Rodeo Queen's duties and this is a wonderful opportunity for each of the contestants to use their talents in this area. This is a great way to spend an hour.

The PRCA LUNCHEON/FEATURING MRA CONTESTANTS costs $35.00 and is held at the Mirage Hotel, "Event Center Room C 2",  Wednesday, December 1, 11:45 a.m. The Mirage is an elegant hotel and is home for the PRCA's annual convention.  Contestants get the opportunity to answer a few impromptu questions.  Come hungry and ready to be entertained.

THE CONTESTANT FASHION SHOW & DINNER costs $60.00 to attend.  It is held at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in the Mardi Gras Ballroom on Wednesday, December 1, at 7:00 p.m.  This is a well attended event, pretty girls in pretty clothes can really draw a crowd.  (reserved table seating on first come, first served basis)

THE PRESIDENT’S LUNCHEON/ FEATURING MRA CONTESTANTS costs $35.00 to attend.  The contestants answer Extemporaneous Questions, State Delegate & NAC Awards and this is held at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in the Decatur Room on Thursday, December 2, 12:00 noon.

50th ANNIVERSARY COWGIRL SWEETHEART GALA  featuring former Miss Rodeo America's, celebrate this memorable event and be part of this 'half century' landmark. Reception, Dinner & Gala to be held at the Orleans Hotel & Casino Thursday, December 2 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Costs $50.00

THE CONTESTANT INTRODUCTIONS at the  WNFR Christmas Gift Show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Friday, December 3, 12:30 p.m. is open to the public

THE CORONATION PERFORMANCE & LUNCHEON costs $65.00 to attend and is held at the Orleans Hotel & Casino Showroom, on Saturday, December 4, 11:30 a.m. (reserved seating on first come, first served basis)

Photo Displays, Video Previews, Exhibits & Displays, the items up for Auction, Miss Rodeo merchandise, and the contestant scrapbooks will be available as listed in the Schedule in the Orleans Hotel & Casino Esplanade Room.  I encourage you to spend some time there. Additionally, a Former MRA Display will open Wednesday December 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the Salon F at the Orleans Hotel.
