The 2003 Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant coronation was held Thursday night June 19, 2003. Lacy Billingsley, formerly Miss Rodeo San Augustine, was presented with the crown as Miss Rodeo Texas 2003. She will compete in the 2004 Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2003 where she will appear with over 25 other young ladies competing for the coveted crown. The Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant Coronation was held at The San Pedro Playhouse in downtown San Antonio.

Miss Billingsley also won category awards in Speech and Horsemanship.

First Runner Up was Lauren Holt, Miss Rodeo Sandhills. She also won the Appearance Award, The Personality Award and The Photogenic Award. Shanna Early, Miss Rodeo West Texas Fair won the Congeniality Award. This is the award voted on by the contestants.

Miss Rodeo Texas 2003 will receive a Trophy saddle from Tex Tan; a Trophy Buckle from Lopez Brothers Silversmiths; a hat from Milanno Hat Company; boots from Boot Hill; a 14 carat gold ring from Collazo Jewelers; a briefcase from Harvey and Sue Schwarz; a purse from Mallory Western and Leather; Wrangler jeans from Wrangler; a hat carrier from Jeannette Galin; Mohair jacket from Delores Unique Designs; a Texas license plate photo plate from Pat Bowen; make up and make up seminar from Louann Macini; boots from Justin boots; a vest from Texas Wild West Kids; Western apparel and accessories from the Go Texas program, Texas Department of Agriculture; Chap shirt from Donna Riva Designs; Galloping boot and Hi Tech No Run Overreach Boots from Bar F products; Apparel from the Hide House; Texas Lone Star Luggage from the Concealment Luggage shop plus a Scholarship; a Plaque; personal stationery; entry to Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas and a contract with Miss Rodeo Texas Inc.

Judging the 2002 Pageant was Gary Morris, Fort Worth,Texas; Rebecca Ramsey Arledge, Wichita Falls; Lillie Byrd Lewis, Houston, Texas; Kelly Baxley, Carrollton, Texas; Jerry Diaz, New Braunfels, Texas; and Daniel DeWeese, Chanhasen, Minnesota.

Emcees for the coronation were Kara Brown Gillet Miss Rodeo Texas 2002, Miss Rodeo America 2003 and Steve Spriester of KSAT-TV in San Antonio.

Entertainment for the coronation was provided by John Wayne Schulz from Karnes City, Texas; Robert Casarez from Stockdale, Texas; Krystal Campbell, from Floreswille, Texas and Jessica Frith from Houston, Texas.
